The story of Kellogic.com could be told as a guy working out of a one bedroom apartment in a run-down neighborhood making it big. But, this wouldn't give you an accurate picture of our history. Kellogic.com was originally started in 1997 at a time when web development companies didn't even exist.

In late 1998, Dan Kellogg, owner, came to a crossroad in his life. Either continue his career as a Software Engineer or make a leap of faith and start a business that not many were sure would be around in a few years (at the time there was a lot of speculation that the Web would grow too large and collapse). He decided to follow his passion and, taking a huge chance, quit his job and armed with one active client and no savings to speak of, he picked up job after job and made the business work.

In early 1999, the jobs started flowing in faster than one person could handle so we started adding people. And as our reputation increased, so did our growth. We moved our offices across the country, leaving a few employees back in Northern Virginia to handle the clients there, and started growing our Western Offices. Eventually we had successfully built an impressive list of clients. And as our client's needs changed, we changed along with them. We added solutions such as store fronts, search engines, and a web-tool for do-it-yourselfers to fully service our clients.

To this day we've funded all our growth internally from profits; without loans or venture capital. We've remained debt-free and grown every year of our existence. While our continued growth will require changes in our strategies, we're proud of what we've achieved so far.

Currently we're adding great people as fast as we can find them. We're also continuing to push the envelope on both the complexity and scope of our work. We've set our goals extremely high and fully expect to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
